Arj has a wealth of experience working in the health and fitness industry.During this time he has coached and trained alongside several international athletes and coaches whilst also helping others achieve their personal goals, whether that's fitness, weight loss, lean muscle or specific physique challenges.


Arj strengthened his understanding of the human body and sport by completeing a BSc Hons in Applied Sports Science at Loughborough University in 2012 where he went on to focus on performance nutrition and strength and conditioning.


He has worked with the GB Water Polo Academy Teams, Solihull Swimming & Water Polo Club and Silhillians Rugby Football Club aswell as working in schools and universities.  For the last 12 months he has worked as the Training Officer for GNC & Holland & Barrett (Europe's Largest Nutrition retailer) delivering training and creating an NVQ in training, nutrition and supplementation.


Currently Arj also works as a Sports Science Lecturer in the UK, focussing on Coaching Science, Performance Analysis & Research Methods and also writes for several publications including Europe's longest running surf magazine, Wavelength as the Fitness & Nutrition Author.


Arj has applied his specialised skills as an athletics sprints and jumps coach and his experience of building athletes to help get clients the body they want and achieve their goals! Arj is currently training as a Decathlete striving for the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Simon is a former 400m runner who has represented both Loughborough & Solihull and Small Heath Athletics Clubs and is actually the holder of the 4 x 400m club record! He has not only trained alongside GB athletes such as former captain Martyn Rooney but also delivered sessions to elite athletes in a variety of different sports!

Simon is our Lead Coach Athletics Coach having been my assistant coach for several years. He possesses great theoretical knowledge having written two research papers on running technique whilst studying his masters degree but also the applied knowledge having competed himself.

Simon's skills have been well recognised and is a Strength & Conditioning Coach for Birmingham City Ladies Football Club as well as working as a sports science lecturer.

Kate is a former competitive swimmer who went on to work as Head Coach of Solihull Swimming Club for 3 years. During her time there, she coached individual athletes to both regional and national qualifying standards  as well as leading the team to a top 5 place in the Arena National League 2. Kate has an advanced understanding of swimming stroke analysis and physiology and when combined with her gift for training periodisation she is superior at preparing athletes for competition.

James Phipps BSc

James Phipps is a BSc graduate (formerly one of mine) recently completed his Applied Sport Science with Oxford Brookes Univeristy.

James, actually joined us during his work placement and impressed us so much we offered him a position as an athletics coach!

He holds numerous coaching qualifications and is always keen to develop both his practical skills and his academic knowledge . He previously competed all over the West Midlands as an amateur boxer and we hope to see his passion for coaching athletics grows with us!
